I am so glad you're here. Let me tell you a little about myself and why I love what I do for Nashville families like yours.I got started in the birth world when pregnant with my daughter in 2016. For over a decade I have worked as an educator, ensuring high need communities have access to top-quality educational opportunities. I helped to found a region of schools here in Nashville and served as a school leader. Pregnancy and birth changed my life. I threw myself into learning everything I could about pregnancy and preparing for birth. The birth of my daughter was a transformational experience, supported by my doula. It revealed my inner strength, and revealed a deep love and commitment between me, my baby, and husband.
In 2017, I committed to training and learning about how to support growing families through these stages of life and trained with DONA International. My experiences as an educational leader have transitioned well to birth work, because I bring many of the same values of education, preparation, building agency, loving support, excellence, and community. These values guide me in my mission: supporting Nashville’s growing families to have connected, loving, and powerful birth and parenthood experiences. I love working with growing families that share the same commitment to community and value knowledge, preparation, and building a loving support system to welcome their baby. From personal and professional experience, I know that birth, though sometimes unpredictable, can feel connecting, loving, and powerful. I love supporting families in creating their birth story. |
